O. “Jim” White is a graduate of the University of Houston with a major
in Accounting. He is Certified by the State of Texas Board of Public
Accountancy as a Certified Public Accountant.
As the founder and majority shareholder, Jim serves as President of the
public accounting firm of White, Garrison and Hill, P.C.
He began practicing accounting in 1973 in Houston, Texas. His years
of experience in taxation, accounting and auditing have given him a
solid base for his expansion into financial planning in 1995. Located in
Greenway Plaza, the CPA firm services businesses as well as individual
clients. Jim performs all financial services through The Planning Team
which is a separate company from the CPA firm. He is a
Registered Representative and Investment Advisory Representative of SII
Investments, Inc., a broker/dealer in Appleton, Wisconsin. He also holds
a Group 1 Insurance license with the state of Texas.
Mr. White is a member of the following professional groups: American
Institute of CPA’s (AICPA), Texas Society of CPA’s (TSCPA), Houston
Chapter of TSCPA’s, Taxation Committee of AICPA, Management Advisory
Committee of AICPA and Personal Financial Planning Committee of AICPA.
He has also served on the Boards of several community organizations.
Jim’s hobbies include golf and motorcycle riding.
